TEMPE, AZ – 2009 has been a VERY BUSY year for Bryan Schmitt. On February 21st, Schmitt boarded a plane and headed to Australia – just one day after completing the first week-long Master Tech Boot Camp training at Mobile Solutions’ Tempe headquarters. The week of February 23rd was reserved for a Master Tech On-Site training for retailer autObarn of Brisbane, Australia.
AutObarn had a sound off on Sunday the 22nd and Schmitt was scheduled to judge. Schmitt commented, “The enthusiasm at this event was really spectacular. It was extremely refreshing to be immersed in such a grass roots event and I’m glad that I was able to fit this into my schedule!”
LAGUNA NIGUEL, CA – Ray Windsor, newly appointed president of German Maestro, has been on the road extensively over the past several months. Windsor told 12voltnews.com “over the last few months I have literally been from coast to coast and border to border to introduce our new German Maestro brand to the industry. Working with our reps we have met with many specialty retailers in their stores. Many of these retailers are, in fact, doing quite well”.

HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA – Rich Henderson, who operated Henderson’s Stereo in Costa Mesa for 37 years, passed away at his home on March 26th. Henderson’s Stereo was a landmark in Costa Mesa.
Henderson, known as “Shred” loved the surfing shores of Southern California and music. He was a member of the Greek Surf Team and sponsor of the Edison Surf Team. As a great guitar player Henderson played with many Orange County bands and for friends and family.
Henderson is survived by his daughter Joann, mother Marion, sons Eric and Tyler, sister Nancy, grandchildren Eric and Eden along with his life partner April.
A celebration of Rick “Shred” Henderson’s life was held on April 5th, 2009.
SHREVEPORT, LA – The 2009 scheduled dealer shows for RTI/Mid States Distributing got under way in Shreveport, LA on April 4th and 5th.. The company’s facility in Freestate Center, just north of the downtown area, was the event site. The warehouse was draped and vendor table top displays were arranged around the perimeter of the warehouse. A 30 X 30 tent was set up in the huge parking lot and was used for product seminars and seating for the Saturday night fish fry.
