P&E Hosts – The Show 2010

31-300x266Nashville, TN – Music City will be rockin’ to the tune of P&E Distributing”s annual dealer show on Sunday, February 28th. It’s The Show 2010.

12volt and aftermarket retailers within a couple hundred miles of Nashville will travel I-40 and I-65 to converge on the Municipal Auditorium in downtown Nashville. Over 100 vendors will fill the historic venue. This is an opportunity for area retailers to see the latest products for 2010 and meet with reps as well as factory personnel.

Ken Wiseman, Director Elettromedia-USA, said “Our team is proud to be associated with M.E.S.A. The Elettromedia-USA business model was designed for the specialty retailer”.

SpringBreak Nationals, the 12volt industry’s meeting place in Daytona Beach for over two decades, is coming back strong. Paul Papadeas, SBN founder, told 12voltnews.com “SBN 24 will surprise many in the industry. Several major brands have set plans to return to the show floor this year and more are finalizing their plans to exhibit this year”.

The 46th Annual Darryl Starbird show in Tulsa, February 19 -21st, lived up to expectations with attendance topping 60,000. CarToys-Tulsa, an event sponsor, was right in the middle of the action. Shreveport, LAM.E.S.A. has selected Rockford Fosgate as a vendor partner specifically in the full-line, non headunit category. Rick Snelson, who headed the selection process in the category, stated “We are excited to engage with the expertise of the Rockford team as we build the M.E.S.A. organization”.2-18-2010

PowerBass has appointed Pacific Partners as the company’s rep firm covering all the islands of Hawaii. PowerBass VP of Sales and Marketing Robin McNeal inked the deal during a stop in Honolulu as he was returning from a working vacation in Australia.

San Antonio, TX – The Pioneer and Metra training workshop, coordinated by Southwest Electronix, hit on all cylinders. The attendance at the Dave and Busters location, in San Antonio the evening of Monday, February 15th, approached 90 – a huge increase over last fall’s event.

MECA on a Roll in California

MECA on a Roll in CaliforniaMODESTO, CA MECA is set to light up the state of California in 2010. A trip to California by Commissioner Steve Stern to conduct judges training on February 12th got the ball rolling.

Stern told 12voltnews.com “Really big things are happening for MECA in Cal. Todd Woodworth has come onboard to handle MECA events in Southern Cal. Woodworth is working with Aubrey Carter who is the head MECA judge in Northern Cal.

Plans are for MECA to have 25 plus events in California, including the Extreme Autofest series. The first MECA event in 2010 will be February 20th at the Autorama in Sacremento. MECA’s schedule in 2010 will approach 150 events.

The judges training session was attended by 14 who wanted to learn more. Sound quality league and sound pressure league rules were studied, test tracks reviewed, system monitoring and score sheets were explained in detail.
