Mike Van Horn A year ago, July 17th 2008, many key members of the 12volt industry met in Dallas, TX for the 12volt Awareness Summit. The stated purpose of the initiative was to chart a course that would create enhanced consumer awareness for the mobile electronics category. Greater consumer awareness would ultimately lead to more sales and a healthy 12volt industry.

RIP Renee Mayer (3/5/1952 – 7/10/2009)

Renee Mayer Lockhart, TX – Renee Mayer, born in Biloxi, MS March 5th 1952, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 10th, with family members at her side.

Renee worked in the office as a valuable member of the Texas HeatWave team for over 6 years. She faithfully coordinated many activities for staff, vendors and event participants.

“Renee not only worked with HeatWave she gave us 6 years of her life, I personally lost a great friend and ‘Show Mom’. She will be with us in our thoughts at every show,” David MacDonald reflected.
