KICKER Named Official Audio of Mustang Club of America
STILLWATER, USA – KICKER Performance Audio continues its close relationship in 2010 with America’s favorite muscle car as the official audio system of the Mustang Club of America. The 12-month commitment began in January and was announced at the MCA’s annual board meeting late last year.
KICKER will provide a physical presence at several MCA events during the year, including Mustang Week in Myrtle Beach, S.C., the MCA Nationals in Asheville, N.C., and the Mid-America Ford® and Team Shelby® Nationals in Tulsa, Okla., among others.
KICKER will also award certificates for free car-audio systems to winners at each of the four MCA National banquets and the one MCA Grand National banquet. Winners will be able to redeem the certificate through KICKER corporate offices in Stillwater, Okla. Company contact information can be found on the Internet at www.kicker.com.
“It is KICKER’s objective to associate our brand with this large demographic that genuinely loves all things Ford and Mustang,” said Kevin Campbell, KICKER Global Marketing Director. “Anything less would be a misjudgment on our part.”
Plans currently include exhibiting with the KICKER XRV (Xtreme Recreational Vehicle) tractor-trailer or other demo vehicles, along with various interactive activities that involve marketing partners OGIO®, Monster Energy®, Oakley® and Makita®.
In June of ’09 12voltnews.com paid a visit to the East Texas Mustang of America Club in Tyler, TX. This chapter of the Mustang clubs really takes their “Ponies” seriously. No less that a dozen Mustangs of all ages were in various stages of restoration or upgrade in a very modern facility used by club members.
The clubs main project at the time was a “Pay it Forward” Mustang destined to be on display at SEMA 09. The vehicle was stripped to its shell in preparation for an extreme makeover. Kicker amps and speakers made the spectacular finished vehicle rock on the SEMA Show floor last November.
The Mustang Club of East Texas is a very active chapter and plan monthly events throughout east Texas.
