Mark Eldridge Attends Popular Events with his JL Audio Sponsored NASCAR Charger Show Car

Miramar, FL – Mark Eldridge is no stranger in the 12-volt industry and is considered by many to be a legend for his success in the competition circuit where he received over 250 trophies for his 1987 Toyota 4Runner. Since then, Eldridge has brought his engineering and technical design expertise to the NASCAR circuit creating a show car designed to demonstrate superior sound quality with an impressive audio/video system using JL Audio components.

This is the third season in which Eldridge has been traveling the country on behalf of JL Audio, introducing the vehicle at NASCAR events and high profile car shows and events.

The highlights since June include:

Prelude to the Dream Race (June 02-03) – Eldora Speedway, Ohio
Rain didn’t dampen the spirits of thousands of campers and RVers who were on tap for the race. Prime positioning of the vehicle at the track led thousands to see and hear this phenomenal car.

Texas Summer Showdown (June 06-07) – Tyler Texas – the vehicle won every single competition at the show: Two-seat Texas Summer Showdown Olympic judging round, Car Audio Nationals Single-seat round, USACi Expert SQ, IASCA Expert SQ, USACi Best of Show, and the Texas Summer Showdown Best of Best of Show.

Leake Auto Auction (June 12-14) – Tulsa, OK
More than 750 cool cars rolled across the blocks for the auction and the JL Audio NASCAR Charger was on display in a prime location in the Leake booth where thousands of people checked out the car. Local station Cox Radio auctioned off two 15-minue ride-alongs in the car with Russ Dugger (Tulsa based NASCAR truck series driver) at the Hallett road course near Tulsa. 100% of the proceeds from the auction were donated to the Freedom Alliance to help injured veterans and the families of those killed in service (www.freedomalliance.org).

Scrapin the Coast / Deep South Nationals (June 20-21) – Biloxi, MS
Thousands of people attended this event and came by the Empress Audio booth to see and hear the JL Audio NASCAR Charger which also won the DSN Two-seat class, the Car Audio Nationals One-seat class, USACi Expert SQ, and 1st place in the car show.

Grace Church Freedom Festival (June 28) – Tulsa, OK
Free event attended by thousands featured a huge car show, rides for the family, music and entertainment.

Monday Night Cruise In at Back Yard Burgers – Every Monday night through November, Mark will attend this informal cruise-in car show that is attended by up to 100 car per night.

Texas Heat Wave – Austin, Texas
During the 3 day show, the car was on display in the JL Audio/Custom Sounds booth which attracted many thousands of people who experienced the JL Audio sound system, and the NASCAR games on the integrated X-Box game system. According to Eldridge, “It was an incredible event, and people surrounded the car the entire show.”

Autofest 2009 – Durant, Oklahoma
The Autofest 2009 event, held at the Choctaw Event Center had more than 90 show cars on display and was attended by thousands. The NASCAR Charger had a prime spot and attendees had a chance to listen to the audio system and play the ever-popular NASCAR driving games. The car won almost everything in the MECA Sound Quality Competition, taking SQ Best of Show, First Place in SQ2, the Master SQ class, Best Install, First Place in the car show, and many other awards. In total, it won 6 trophies and 7 medallions!

Jenks Car & Truck Show – Jenks, Oklahoma
The NASCAR Charger was on display helping to raise funds for cancer awareness. Several hundred vehicles were on display and thousands in attendance. One lucky winner was chosen by ballot for a high-speed ride-along in the NASCAR Charger that will take place at a racetrack in Tulsa, OK later this year.

According to Eldridge, “While the economy may still be in a funk, people are still looking for low cost fun entertainment with events such as these. So far, 2009 has given us an opportunity to introduce JL Audio to thousands of show attendees, RV campers, and many enthusiasts who want to check out the car up close and personal and learn more about integrating audio into their own cars and trucks. I open the doors, turn on the system and the magic begins.”
