Shreveport, LA (11/21/2016) – Black Friday Mania 2016 began gripping the retail world on November 1st with online specials and national car ads like GMC’s 20% off MSRP.
The real Black Friday isn’t till November 25th this year. But each day we have been getting a more clear picture of the mania in store. Consumer electronics with all types of “Count Down”, “One Day Deals” and “Doorbusters” will no doubt continue to be the loss-leaders for many online and Big Box retailers. The Sunday Best Buy flier, November 20th, highlighted a 40″ flat screen at $179 and a JVC in-dash reciever for $49.
12volt specialty retailers of all types must use a solid plan featuring product knowledge, creativity and exceptional customer service to compete in today’s marketplace. Specialty 12volt retailers have the added advantage on onsite product demonstrations and installation opportunities to close the sale once a customer is in the store.
A solid social media plan, to attract and inspire, consumers is also a must foe specialty retailers…who, for the most part, do not have robust marketing budgets.
Black Friday, November 25th, and Cyber Monday are at hand. Small Business Saturday, championed by American Express, is sandwiched between Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
Let’s work to make Small Business a 365 day a year mission for specialty 12volt retailers.
