SOUTHFIELD, MI (11.03.2016) – Brandmotion will be launching their aftermarket radar blind spot system at this year’s Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show, Nov. 1-4 in Las Vegas. The demand for radar blind spot detection and monitoring has increased significantly, and Brandmotion’s system provides key safety features that fill a gap in the market.
“Blind spot detection and monitoring is one of the most in-demand product categories in mobile electronics,” stated Jeff Varick, president and founder of Brandmotion. “We believe that with our radar blind spot system, we can significantly reduce the number of accidents caused by lack of vision in drivers’ blind spots.”
Brandmotion has developed a complete radar blind spot detection system that is OEM quality and uses vehicle-specific brackets to mount the sensors at the correct angle to minimize false alarms. The system activates when a vehicle is traveling over 20 mph and will warn drivers with a visual light mounted at the bottom of the vehicle’s A-pillar when another vehicle is in one of the blind spots. If a turn signal is activated while another vehicle is in the blind spot zone, a visual warning paired with an audible warning will alert the driver not to change lanes. An added key feature of this system is the cross-traffic detection that is helpful when backing out of a row of parked cars. When a vehicle goes into reverse, the system is triggered and the sensors look for oncoming traffic to each side of the vehicle.
“Our team realized the need in the aftermarket for a high quality system made up of OEM components that is accurate, easy to install, and price conscientious of the consumers in the market,” emphasized Varick.
