STURBRIDGE, MA (03.24.2015) – The 2015 MRI Mobile Expo filled the Sturbridge Host Hotel in Sturbridge, MA on Tuesday, March 10th. The educational aspect of the 13th annual MRI Mobile Expo was front and center along with a show floor that featured over 2 dozen vendor exhibits.

Chris Hofeditz, MRI Merchandising Manager, commented to 12voltnews.com, “The dealer turnout for the 2015 MRI Mobile Expo ‘Road to the Future’ was tremendous – easily up 20% over 2014. Marketing Android Auto, Car Play, PowerSports, Bluetooth amps, LED lighting, Telematics, Starters and WiFi A/V streaming – along with OEM integration – are critical to the success of 12volt retailers. We addressed these topics in depth and more at this year’s event.”

Dealers attending the 13th Annual MRI Mobile Expo saw the latest 2015 product lineups from a large number of top brands. Incredible show demo vehicles. live demonstrations and installation techniques grabbed attendees attention throughout the day. In depth training and educational seminars prepared dealers for the busy upcoming 12volt season.

“Our vendor partners, plus their representatives, really stepped up across the board. Real world demo vehicles and installations gave dealers attending so many ideas. Kenwood’s side-by-side, the Clarion marine installation in the 30′ boat we arranged, Rockford Fosgate Harley and 300C plus the DEI Jeep demo were fantastic. Also, the introduction of the WeatherTech line broadens the product opportunities for 12volt retailers.

Ira Gold related to 12voltnews.com, “The MRI show was well attended – and a lot of fun to work. Brandmotion was getting a lot of interest in their new Freedom charge wireless cellphone charging pieces for vehicle specific and universal applications. With the rapid growth of streaming music (A battery killer) there was a lot of interest in this new emerging category. Also working the Kleinn Air Horn booth was a blast, pun intended. This is a totally new category for MRI but with their new push into the truck market this is a great fit. Air horns make people smile, I don’t know why, but they do.”

Jon Dewar offered, “It was a really good show– Record breaking attendance. I had a CRUX booth and a VisionX booth. Both were constantly packed with eager dealers. I’m blessed to be the CRUX rep. Each and every dealer that has come in contact with it, falls in love immediately. I don’t blame them a bit. It’s bulletproof and highly profitable!”

Hofeditz concluded, “In-vehicle connectivity is critical for success in today’s marketplace. 12-volt retailers need to be the go-to location for in-vehicle integration and connectivity. Showing consumers how to use ever-changing technology in their vehicles that incorporate Bluetooth, navigation, satellite radio, smartphone interfacing, rear view camera systems, AV inputs, and backup sensors is paramount for success. We feel dealers who attended MRI’s ‘Road to the Future’ are now better prepared to succeed in today’s marketplace.”
