The Hendersonville Expo Center, just north of Nashville, was once again the site of “The Show”. Over 150 brands were on the show floor of which nearly 50 were 12volt related.
Josh Eatherly, point person for P&E’s 12volt division commented to 12voltnews.com, “This year’s event was terrific. Pre-registration was way up from last year and Sunday morning walk-ups caused a log jam at the show registration counter. This year’s event was 9AM until 3PM only and that 6 hour time period made for a very busy show floor.”
Demo vehicles from Kicker, Tech Marketing, Audio Control, Kinetik and Alpine added to a number from the automotive aftermarket side including Westin and Undercover. The Crusin’ With CRUX Pace Arrow was positioned outside the Expo center.
“Support from vendors was terrific again. The Kicker UTV from CES and the Dodge Challenger, plus the Tech Marketing pickup loaded with Kicker marine, really rocked the show floor. The Alpine Restyle pickup and SUV provided outstanding demonstrations from Alpines 2015 offerings. JVC’s latest gear was in their booth and Matt Yerger made super training presentations in the booth. The CRUX booth was a hot point for new interface products like back up cameras and in-vehicle wi-fi. Concept, Planet Audio, Race Sport, and SSL had busy booths throughout the day and Brad Fair, who came in from LA, worked with dealers nonstop. Jason Hannon and Andrew Snook from LA too,” Eatherly continued.
“Seeing the excitement of the show floor provided a really good feeling for all. There were flat panel TV drawing winners, lots of raffle winners and Bentley Automotive was the daler that walked away with the $5000. grand prize check,” Eatherly added.
The weather throughout the P&E territory was severe from mid-February right up to “The Show.” Two days before “The Show” the temperature was 1 degree in Nashville. Mike Beyersdoerfer, behind the wheel of the CRUX Pace Arrow was caught in a 50 mile traffic jam on I-24 in Kentucky on the way to Nashville.

On Saturday night before “The Show,” P&E hosts an appreciation event for vendors with dinner and refreshments. This year the event was held at the acclaimed Lane Automotive Museum in Nashville. Nearly 200 attended the event and had a chance to check out a fabulous, large collection of vintage and unique vehicles. During the evening P&E presents the now famous guitar to the winners of the “Vendor of the Year” and “Rep of the Year”. Directed Electronics was named the top vendor for 2014 and VP Al Fontane was on hand to accept the award. “Rep of the Year” went to CMA Sales for their representation of Alpine. Cecil Suite was on hand and received the award.
“Again, we want to thank our dealers for coming, our vendors for their strong support and the entire P&E family for delivering the extra effort it takes to produce a large event like ‘The Show,'” Eatherly concluded.
