HOUSTON, TX (12.10.2014) – The 55th Annual Autorama filled the George R. Brown Convention Center in downtown Houston over the Thanksgiving weekend, November 27th – 30th.

While most were kicking back and enjoying the 4-day Thanksgiving weekend the Marketing Professionals team of George Reed and Jim Wehling were on the convention center floor. Their mission was to support Conroe, Texas retailer Lakeside Audio and showcase the Focal brand.

The Lakeside Audio booth showed a wide variety of hot demo vehicles. This Lakeside Audio '69 Corvette shined brightly.

The Autorama event included World of Wheels and the Cavalcade of Customs events plus celebrity appearances and autograph sessions. The Lakeside Audio featured the Focal Ultima and Reed’s Dodge Ram that rocked the entire facility. The $25K price tag on the Focal Ultima’s and hot Lakeside Audio demo vehicles raised many eyebrows. The restored ’69 Corvette definitely grabbed attention.

Jim Wehling commented to 12voltnews.com, “The Autorama event was a great opportunity to support a key retailer and expose thousands of consumers to truly great sound in George’s truck. He spent at least 80% of the weekend demoing the system in his truck – that featured Focal speakers and Mosconi amplifiers plus a carbon fiber hood. The Dodge Ram was a draw to the booth. Seeing the $25,000 Focal Ultima speakers was an added bonus for spectators.”

Staff at Lakeside Audio related to 12voltnews.com the event provided great exposure for the company and that several consumers journeyed to the store to take advantage of specials offered at Autorama.

Concluding, Wehling stated, “At first I was apprehensive about the Thanksgiving weekend dates. Competing with family events and Black Friday wasn’t a problem in the end. We would certainly do it again. To see spectators smile from ear-to-ear after hearing George’s truck was a great sight.”

Hat’s off to the Marketing Pros and Lakeside Audio teams. Working Thanksgiving Day and Black Friday, followed by full days Saturday and Sunday, shows extreme passion and their commitment to the 12volt industry.
