NEW BRAUNFELS, TX (07.09.2014) – The action, temperature and live music were hot at Elite Auto Sounds on Saturday, July 5th. The Mudbug Shindig featured a lifted truck show and memorial benefit for the family of Allan Goodman. Goodman was a local musician.
Elite Auto Sounds owner Joel Mattix and crew created an event for local enthusiasts to show their lifted trucks and off road vehicles, to raise store awareness plus help the family of Goodman.
Mattix commented to 12voltnews.com, “There were close to a hundred over the course of the late afternoon and evening. We boiled crawfish and many who attended bought heaping plates of mudbugs and we donated the proceeds to Goodman’s family. I played in a group with Goodman and our plan is to make the Mudbug Shindig an important annual event.”
Jim Wehling of Marketing Pros Inc. commented, “This was the first year Elite Auto Sounds has held this event yet they had a crowd as if it had been going on many years I look forward to the 2nd annual Mudbug Shindig.”
Over two dozen vehicles were on display in front of the store that is located right next to I-35 which is the main artery between Dallas and San Antonio. In addition to the lifted trucks the Marketing Professionals’ Cadillac, tricked with Phoenix Gold, was a big draw. Marketing Professionals team members George Reed and Jim Wehling worked the event. Wehling provided these event images.
Reed stated to 12voltnews.com, “One of the main reasons we have the Cadillac is to work promotions with dealers. Many of the attendees listened to the Phoenix Gold system and got ideas about upgrading the audio gear in their intense trucks.”
Mattix concluded by saying, “Business is good at Elite – but we work at it all the time. We sold a couple nice tickets during the Mudbug Shindig. Screens, audio and marine are main categories right now.”
