PATCHOGUE, NY (06.16.2014) – The Annual Avenue Sound “Battle of the Boom” and Tent Sale drew a tremendous crowd to see the latest 12volt gear, great demo vehicles, show cars and pick up great deals. Also up for grabs were “Battle of the Boom” belts for the top SPL competitors.

“The Avenue Sound event was absolutely fantastic -baby. Sales over the weekend were terrific. The store was jammed with customers and the parking lot, and the area around the store, was packed with demo vehicles and “Battle of the Boom” competitors. All in all it was a great weekend for Avenue Sound and a real awareness builder for the entire 12volt industry across metro New York City,” Big Daddy’s Morris Hartman related to 12voltnews.com. Hartman was on site with the JBL, Infinity, Lightning Audio and Renegade brands.

The store was filled and customers lined up at the sales counter to complete their purchases.

Rep firms in the area were on site to demo new technology and close sales. Eric Smith-Rockford Fosgate, Bob Hernandez-DEI, Rick Ross-Scosche, Neal Halprin-Race Sport, Jason Montalvo-Alpine, Jeff Schultz-Pioneer and Matt Gonzales-Kenwood and Kicker were on site during the Father’s Day weekend of June 14th and 15th.

Smith commented, “Rockford Fosgate was there in force, Our killer RF Mini Lab positioned exclusively right outside the front doors made a great impact on the entire area and helped draw traffic into the entire event. We all turned a lot of tire-kickers into buyers and made a strong impression on the car audio consumers of Eastern Long Island.”

Ross stated from the event site, “It’s great to be at the event supporting my family at Avenue Sound. The weather is terrific and turnout very good. Product, a lot of Scosche, went out the door as the crowd cashed in on sale specials – and the music is LOUD.”

Montalvo offered, “Avenue Sounds “Battle of the Boom” was a success. Many customers on site showed great interest in the new Alpine Restyle direction – with Vikas Moolchandani pre-selling three X008U’s on Saturday. With a M.A.P. of $1599. that shows educated consumers will spend significant dollars of top 12volt products.”

“Hiru, Jai, Vikas, the entire Moolchandani family and staff really went all out to plan and orchestrate this event. Seeing the Patchogue store today, and remembering what it looked like in early April after the SUV rammed through the front of the store is amazing,” Hartman concluded.

A big thanks to Morris Hartman, Eric Smith, Rick Ross and Jason Montalvo, plus Avenue Sound staff, for supplying images for this feature.
