NEW YORK, NEW YORK (05.12.2014) – The New York International Auto Show drew a record smashing 1.5 million attendees during the event’s 10 day run April 18th through April 27th. The NYIAS is the oldest and largest auto show in the nation. This year’s show marked the 114th anniversary of the crowd pleasing event.
Brooklyn’s Proline Car Stereo was in the middle of the action. “Participating in the New York International Auto Show gives our company a tremendous amount of exposure. We get immediate business plus activity from the show that lasts for months. People who attend the show are interested in cars. Those people who came through the DUB Tour Hall in the Jacob Javit’s Center are enthusiasts and our target consumer. Proline’s presence at the event created awareness for our product category, the brands we carry and of course the Proline Car Stereo brand,” Proline’s Will Sullivan commented to 12voltnews.com.
Exhibiting at the NYIAS over the final 3-day weekend, April 25th-27th, was a tremendous investment for Proline and staff. Set-up in the DUB Tour Hall was a 2-day process prior the weekend event plus Monday’s post show teardown. Proline has invested substantially in moveable product displays, great signage and high dollar stage trussing.
During the New York International Auto Show Proline staffers handed out over 30,000 fliers promoting their upcoming in-store event on Sunday, May 18th. Thousands of key chains, pens and other give-aways were also handed out to attendees.
“Our staff and I talked with literally thousands of consumers during the show. We are all shocked by the low level of awareness consumers have for our products. Simple things like audio streaming from their smartphones through their car stereos and add-on navigation seemed foreign to so many,” Shef Sadik observed.
Eric Smith, Northeastern Marketing stated, “Proline Car Stereo at the New York Auto Show is the story of the century. This is an amazing world-class event and Proline put the Rockford Fosgate Mini Sound Lab through its paces for thousands.”
“You know what Baby – every car audio manufacturer should have a presence at the New Your International Auto Show. This is an international show. People come from across the Atlantic and several states around New York to attend this event and over a 1.5 million people attend. At Big Daddy’s we are so happy to support Proline and our brands they market,” Morris Hartman related to 12votnews.com.
Kenwood’s Hazim Jainoor offered, “The Proline Car Stereo booth was the place to be at the New York Auto Show. The huge booth had great displays and the Kenwood brand as hot. We sold a ton of products off the display board. I personally sold at least dozen DNX891HD’s. The Proline display board also featured a section with AT&T’s lineup of smartphones. This gave me full access to demo our HDMI and APP sources (Waze) via a Samsung S5 and iPhone 5. The Proline staff are pros – knowledgable and experienced in the operation of our current models regarding operation and control. All in all the 2014 New York Auto Show was a big success for the Proline crew and Kenwood.”
Area Kenwod rep firm Trent Partners & Associates turned out in force with staff members Steve Trentacoste, Matt Gonzalez, Peter Huggins and David Berry working the event.
Pioneer was on site with the eye catching demo used at CES with Jeff Schultz at the controls. Directed’s Bob Hernandez worked the DEI display. Focus Marketing’s Jason Montalvo took members of the crowd through the newest from Alpine’s 204 lineup and Paul Platt showed the latest Audiovox products. The collision avoidance category was reported to be of keen interest to many.
Proline Car Stereo will build on visibility from the New York International Auto Show with a monster event at the company’s Brooklyn location on Sunday, May 18th. “The stage trussing, signage and many displays from the NYIAS event will be utilized at our in-store event.
