NORTH BRANCH, NJ (02.17.2014) – Rockford Corporation’s “Lifetime Achievement Award” was presented to Eric Smith, Northeastern Marketing, during the company’s Annual National Sales meeting in Las Vegas, NV.
In a follow up to a previous post Smith carved out time for a conversation with 12voltnews.com.
“It was a big surprise, and equally big honor, to receive “The Lifetime Achievement” award. Since 1991 we have had the privilege of representing Rockford Fosgate in this market. The Rockford Fosgate brand is built on passion and performance. That passion starts with the company, travels through rep firms, to dealers and ultimately to consumers. Rockford Fosgate is a brand we live at Northeastern Marketing. Rockford slogans like “Passion for Performance” and “25 to Life” are very telling,” Smith commented.
At Northeastern Marketing Randi Davis manages the office while Michael Zacharewich handles inside sales. These key staff members have been with Smith 20 and 18 years respectively.
Northeastern Marketing has received numerous Rockford awards over the last 23 years – including The Bull Dog Award, Rep of the Year – on multiple occasions and Outstanding Rep firm.
Following the annual Rockford sales meeting in January weather conditions in northeastern segment of the U.S. have been brutal. “As a company we work hand in hand with our dealers. We got off to a great start in Las Vegas. Since that time the weather has been the big news. Heavy snows and icy road conditions have definitely had a negative impact on all retail activity in the region. When the thaw comes we are ready to move rapidly into a strong spring sales season,” Smith concluded.
When 12voltnews.com spoke with Smith on Friday, February 14, there were 18 inches on snow on the ground outside the company’s North Branch, NJ office – with freezing rain falling on top of the heavy blanket of snow.
