SHREVEPORT, LA (02.08.2014) – Extreme winter weather in many parts of the U.S. has been in the headlines lately. These challenging conditions have not deterred proactive rep firm staff members, and principals, from making dealer calls and working major consumer events.
OPUS Marketing’s Jamie White stated to 12voltnews.com, “The weather all along the east coast has been brutal. With this there are two major new car shows happening – Baltimore and Philadelphia. Chuck Ottati is on site in Baltimore with Annapolis retailer Insane Car Audio. Insane’s Paul Jackson related that floor traffic is busier than expected considering the weather. The Philly show runs nine days and the weather forecast is not good.”“When I left Conroe it was sleeting and it continued as I drove I-10 to get to the World of Wheels event at the Super Dome in New Orleans. Our dealer Prestige Customs and Autosound has a big booth and we are supporting his efforts,” Marketing Professionals George Reed commented. Conroe, TX is about 40 miles north of Houston.
Cory Himel, Prestige Customs, told 12voltnews.com, “We have been exhibiting at the New Orleans World of Wheels for over 20 years. Friday is always big as area students are bused to the Super Dome for seminars on mobile electronics and to send the day looking at cool cars and special show vehicles. Exhibiting at this event, and other car shows, is great for our business.” Eagle Distributor’s Barry Beller commented to 12voltnews.com, “When I left the hotel in Austin there was snow on my car – snow is very unusual in Austin TX.“I dodged weather all week as I drove to see dealers in the territory. Fred Dulaney had it even worse as he had RF Boom, our Rockford Mini Sound Lab, on the road with dealer events in North Carolina,” Premier Marketing’s Dave Headlee related to 12voltnews.com. Mark Pyle, Sales Director at RE Audio said, “There are 6 foot high drifts in my driveway. It’s like the state on Indiana is shut down.”
A big 12voltnews.com “Hat’s Off” to these members of the 12volt industry and others who worked across icy roads to move the industry forward. A special “Hat’s Off” to dealers Insane Car Audio, Sound of TriState, Prestige Customs and others for seizing the opportunity to create awareness for their businesses at major consumer events.
