SANFORD, ME (08.05.2013) – The quiet Maine town of Sanford was anything but on Sunday, July 28th when the 17th Annual Sanford Sound Charity Bikini Car Wash – Show and Shine Car Show kicked off. The parking lots and space around Sanford Sound was filled to capacity with demo vehicles, sound-off competitors, monster trucks, car show entries plus lovely Team Elite models with brushes and hoses in hand.
“Our 17th annual event went very well. A light drizzle slowed the car wash activity a bit but other than that it was a terrific day. In total the crowd topped 1500 though the day. Cars were parked everywhere, including businesses across the street. The vehicles in the Show and Shine numbered just over 100 and the NE SPL competition had full lanes. In all we handed out over 80 very nice plaques to competitors” Jack Bogard, Sanford Sound owner, commented to 12voltnews.com.
Sanford Sound utilizes this annual event to keep the company brand positioned in the local market. Vendors support included Alpine, Clarion, Kenwood and Directed. Collette Beaudoin was on site to show spectators the latest in the Alpine line.
“This event does so much to keep the Sanford Sound name in front of the public. With the monster trucks on site, a funny car dragster and all the show vehicles, plus a Monster Energy truck at the event passing out free drinks, our event will be on top of peoples minds for weeks and months to come” Bogard concluded.
The Sanford Sound event was promoted with radio commercials, fliers and social media channels.
