TAMPA, FL (06.26.2013) – DOW Electronics held another regular dealer sales and technical trainings on June 12th at their Tampa headquarters. The featured products for the “Evening with Industry Icons” were Hushmat and Idatalink Maestro. To kick off the night DOW Electronics’ 12 volt team members Mike Eckley, Brad Livingston, and Jeremy Doran welcomed dealers and offered tours of the facility. A trip through the warehouse allowed dealers to see first-hand the products available and accessories needed to make them successful. The DOW Electronics’ 12 volt team assembled an all-star roster to share their knowledge and expertise with a capacity crowd, some of whom drove from as far as 3+hours away.
“It was a great turn out we had almost 40 participants. MAG Sales and Dow Electronics have partnered with HushMat and Idatallink to train the dealers how to become more profitable selling these great brands and expanding these categories in their stores” noted Bill Freeman, Territory Manager, M.A.G. Sales.
The dealers who attended were from some of the top retailers in Florida including: PCA Car Audio (Tampa), The Garage (Orlando), Octave (Orlando), 2 Extreme Audio (Plant City), East Coast Garage (Tampa), Soundwaves (Tampa), Highway Hi Fi (Melbourne), Auto Styles (Clearwater), Superior Mobile Fabrication (Temple Terrace), Ocala Car Audio (Ocala), Sound Depot & Performance (Gainesville), Maximum Audio Video (Tampa), Car Tune Automotive (New Port Richey), Tunes & Tint / Alarms Etc. (Tampa), Tunes & Tint / Alarms Etc. (Lakeland), Boulevard Customs of Lakeland (Lakeland), High Class Motorsports (Melbourne), and Absolute Automotive (Tampa).
Opening up for the evening was Idatalink Maestro technical support expert and trainer Zack Flynn. Together with DOW Electronics 12 volt ASR Mike Eckley, dealers learned how to use the state of the art Idatalink Maestro RR and MSW modules to integrate aftermarket products with today’s OEM systems. In utilizing these systems there are new cost effective and time saving solutions to suit many customer needs. “This training was great for me because it gave me a better technical understanding of the Idatalink product,” state Parish Tanner, Co-owner of Ocala Car Audio in Ocala, FL.
Following a short break Tim McCarthy- CEO of Hushmat, and Bill Freeman – 2012 Kenwood Rep of the Year, shared their expertise on sales and merchandising. Topics such as “Selling Accessories” and “Smart Merchandising” were atop the list of things that drew in such a large crowd. This segment of the regular DOW Electronics dealer sales and technical trainings was a huge success. “This portion really benefitted me because I now know how to make a profit selling Hushmat,” stated Chris Lancaster, owner of the The Garage in Orlando, FL.
