Lance Diehr, who heads up Specialty Marketing’s 12volt division, told 12voltnews.com after the Mechanicsville event “We exceeded our expectations in a big way. The first stop on our Summer 2013 Listening and Tech Tour combined the elements of a trade show and hands-on installation training. Over 45 dealers were on hand and the total crowd topped 70. A highlight for many was the Sony A/B listening comparison demo. Dealers told us they now have a new appreciation for the performance of the Sony GS speakers. Outside DEI performed hands-on demonstrations of the new RSR product with T-Harness in a 2013 GMC Sierra. There were many comments about how much time dealers will be able to save on remote starter installs in the upcoming season.”
“The feedback from dealers was so positive about the Sony Mobile GS speaker comparison demos. Andy Mitchell’s vehicle is outfitted with a full GS system and dealers were amazed. We set up new dealers and expanded the Sony product line-up with others” Anthony Tozzi related to 12voltnews.com
“The Sony Mobile listening tour is ideal for distributor events like Specialty Marketing’s. In a friendly, neutral setting dealers can compare the GS product with speakers of other brands. In that environment the GS products truly demonstrate exceptional sonic qualities,” Rick Kojan, National Sales Manager-Mobile Electronics Distribution, relayed to 12voltnews.com.
Opus Marketing really “Took it to the Streets” with a number of demo vehicles on site at the Specialty event. “We had a 2013 GMC Sierra and Ford Focus set up for hands-on installation for new DEI products – firmware was actually downloaded and modules programmed on the spot. A RAV-4 was set up with a Rosen 10” flip down running through a KVH antenna. Another vehicle featuring Rosen was an Acura MDX showing a new headrest system. A third vehicle showed Rosen NAV in a 2013 VW. The Mobileye demo, featuring a new camera, consisted of an on the road test drive with John Cameron at the wheel. Our demos “took it to the Street” and dealers responded in a very positive way” Jamie White related to 12voltnews.com.
The Opus Marketing team on site at the Specialty event included White, Bruno Berg and Chuck Ottati. Atrend and United HID lighting were set up inside the showroom. Look for the Opus team, and their rolling demos, at the June 11th Specialty event in Fairfield NJ.
“We had just a great show. Some dealers drove several hours to get to Mechanicsville. They were all so excited for the hands-on demos and great deals. We are all looking forward to the New Jersey event on June 11th” Andy Mitchell, a key member of the Specialty Sales staff, stated to 12voltnews.com.
Metra’s Juan Lugo covered new Axxess interface solutions while Phil Maeda and Jim Newell showed the latest products, and gave tips, on the Rydeen line. Greg Perez worked with dealers to cover the latest Rosen offerings. Showing Mobileye’s collision avoidance line kept John Cameron busy throughout the day. Bo Smith showed the latest Pioneer APP Radio units and Ray Woodall, IMG-East, covered the ARC Audio products stocked by Specialty Marketing.
Each tour stop is designed to provide dealers with opportunities to add to their sales and marketing skill sets. Product raffles and super show specials, along with lunch and dinner, make the Specialty Marketing Summer 2013 Listening and Tech Tour a must attend for dealers through out the company’s extensive territory along the eastern seaboard. Each dealer will also receive a $25. gas/toll Visa gift card for attending.
“Most all of the dealers told me, and our staff, a big ‘thank you’ and that our event was like a mini trade show and one of the best events they had been to in years. The vendors were excited by the responses they got from the dealers. Vendors said dealers showed keen interest, spent quality time at their booths and asked detailed questions. Lastly, the show was electric and surpassed all our expectations” Diehr concluded.
“We are looking forward to seeing a big dealer turnout at The Summer 2013 Tour stop in Fairfield. It will be exciting with lots of demo, raffles and great specials. This event, on Tuesday June 11th,will be a perfect opportunity for dealers to gain valuable knowledge and check out Specialty’s Fairfield warehouse.
