GRAPEVINE, TX (08.18.12) – Knowledgefest 2012 will begin its 3 plus day run at the massive Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center on Saturday, August 18th with a late afternoon VIP exhibit floor review and manufacturer sponsored training sessions. Sunday and Monday schedules are filled with 12volt industry specific educational tracks and manufacturer training sessions. Educational tracks continue Tuesday morning.
Over 50 vendors will be set up in the convention center area to show their latest products and programs on Sunday and Monday. Exhibit hall hours are noon until 5PM both days. Sunday evening is set aside for the 2012 Mobile Electronics Magazine Industry Awards. Pandora and K-40 are sponsors. “LIVE” will take the stage on Monday evening at the trendy Glass Cactus Club on the Gaylord Texan grounds. SiriusXM and Audiovox are sponsors of the Glass Cactus event.
MERA President Chris Cook told 12voltnews.com “We are anticipating a terrific Knowledgefest 2012. We have over 80 educational tracks and manufacturer training sessions planned and an exhibit hall with a record number of vendors. The Gaylord Texan is one of the premier venues in the U.S. and we have every reason to believe we will break Knowledgefest attendance records at this year’s event.”
Sunday’s keynote luncheon address will be presented by Steve Koenig. As the Director of Industry Analysis at CEA Koenig is well versed on current market conditions and will discuss the “State of the Economy and its Effect on the Consumer Electronics Industry.”
Monday’s keynote luncheon will feature a “Young Guns Power Panel”. Five progressive retailers will share their innovative strategies for success in today’s complex and ever changing marketplace. MERA President Chris Cook will serve as the panel moderator.
Platinum sponsor Sony Mobile will showcase MirrorLink and the new GS line of mobile gear. SiriusXM, a platinum sponsor at Knowledgefest, will put the V200 tuner front and center. “LIVE” is the theme for Monday night’s gala at the Glass Cactus sponsored by SiriusXM and Audiovox. Those attending will enjoy a performance by the popular Dallas based Dave Whiteman Band. Sony Mobile will provide the food and refreshments.
Mobileye will demonstrate the company’s latest product introductions that lead the way in the rapidly growing collision avoidance category. The David Lee Marketing team will be on the MERA floor in force to show the Mobileye line to dealers in their territory.
Kicker will have two factory vehicles on the floor to demo two exciting new products. A Ford F-150 will show the Soundgate by Kicker audio system designed expressly for late model Ford pickups. Kicker’s new Front Row product will be featured in a Chevy Cruze.
JL Audio is slated to have a stunning ’57 Chevy in their booth on the MERA floor. The JL gear, and sound, is so well presented in this Classic automobile.

CRUX is making a statement at MERA. Sightline is a new series of backup camera designed with OEM in mind. This product joins the company’s lineup of Bluetooth and aftermarket integration offerings.
Metra will show their broad line of kits and accessories including a new kit for the 2012 and up Ford Focus.
Focal is slated to have super high dollar vehicles in the company’s booth as well as debuting the latest in the Illusion line of car audio.
