Cypress, CA (03.26.12)– Clarion Corporation of America (CCA) announced today the appointment of Paul Lachner to President. Mr. Lachner succeeds Tom Hayashi, the current President, who will be retiring on March 31, 2012. Mr. Hayashi has served as CCA’s President since April 2010 and has been with Clarion for more than 37 years.
Mr. Lachner joined Clarion in 2001 at the executive level, taking on increased responsibility throughout his tenure. Most recently serving as CCA’s Executive Vice President of Automotive Sales, he has been a key contributor to Clarion’s overall success. “I have the utmost confidence in the strong leadership Paul demonstrates, and that he will guide this company successfully into the future,” states Tom Hayashi.
Mr. Lachner has extensive expertise throughout the automotive industry including time spent in engineering at a Big 3 U.S. automaker, and sales management experience at a tier one system integrator and within the audio and infotainment supply base. “I look forward to leading the corporation in our new fiscal year with an increased focus on connected products and solutions. Our future is filled with exciting, innovative products and services for both our aftermarket and OEM customers,” states Mr. Lachner.
Mr. Lachner holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan and a Masters Degree in Engineering Management from the University of Detroit Mercy
