Sanford Sound Sets 15th Annual Event

SANFORD, ME (07.13.11) – The town of Sanford, with a population of just over 20,000, will grow substantially on Sunday, July 31st.

Scenes like these file photos from previous years will undoubtedly be repeated at this year’s event.

Competitors and 12volt enthusiasts will descend on Sanford for Sanford Sound’s 15th Annual Charity Bikini Wash. “It’s hard to believe but this will mark 15 years for our charity bikini car wash. Each year select a charity to support and this year it is Grahamtastic – an organization that provides laptops for hospitalized children” Jack Bogard told 12voltnews.com. Information on Grahamtastic is available on the web at www.grahamtastic.org.

Through the years the Sanford Sound Charity Bikini Car Wash has grown substantially. The event is now one of the premier 12volt events in New England. This year there will be 27 car show classes, 3 New England SPL classes, a live DJ, food and refreshments, a vendor expo and of course a smokin’ bikini contest.

“We will have factory representation from Alpine, Polk and Arc Audio. In addition, we just signed an IRHA funny car to be on hand for all to experience. This event creates a lot of pre-show activity as competitors prepare for the Show and Shine competitions. This activity carries over after the event  as spectators see what cool things are possible in the mobile electronics and aftermarket categories today” Bogard concluded.
