SpringBreak Jam Padre 2011 – A WINNER!!

The floor in the South Padre Convention center was a sea of people during the bikini contest.

South Padre Island, TX (03.16.11) – SpringBreak Jam 2011 literally took over the island of South Padre the weekend of March 5th and 6th.

More pictures can be found in the 12voltnews.com gallery, with a big thanks to John Linn and Memphis Car Audio for the pictures from the show.

“The hotels were booked solid, the roads were jammed. The South Padre Convention Center, site of our Heatwave SpringBreak Jam, was at the center of it all. We had one terrific event” David MacDonald told 12voltnews.com.

The weather Saturday wasn’t the best for outdoor activities but that didn’t stop the action inside the Convention Center. Manufacturer booths, area retailers and local businesses saw a steady stream of spectators. The bikini contest, as always, drew a sea of humanity to the front of the main stage.

USACi president Ralph Randall said “Our 4X competition once again drew top competitors. We had 5 new world records set and had a group of SQ competitors travel from Mexico for the competition. The SpringBreak Jam really kicks off the USACi schedule for the year. So far the events booked for 2011 are way ahead of 2010.”

Memphis Car Audio was on site represented by John Linn and John Richmond. Linn reported to 12voltnews.com that attendance was strong and consumers were impressed with all the Memphis gear and Fulmer helmets on display. A big 12voltnews.com thanks to Linn for the images with this post.

“SpringBreak Jam was a tremendous show.  David and Bill really took care of us.The Sony booth was always extremely busy. We had 2 demo vehicles and 4 models in the booth. Taka Noguchi, from Sony HQ in San Diego, was at the event along with Nathan Stotts from Florida plus Barry and myself from Eagle. At 3 on Sunday afternoon more than 100 spectators surrounded the Sony booth for a headunit drawing. Many were alerted by a text message campaign we had on site” Chase Hatcher relayed to 12voltnews.com.

SoundStream, PPI and Crossfire showed their latest gear – members of the crowd showed a strong interest. Ace’s demo vehicle drew a steady flow of traffic to the booth” George Reed of Marketing Professionals told 12voltnews.com.

“The Heatwave Tour for 2011 is set. Based on feedback from manufacturers and dealer, plus spetator turnout in South Padre it looks like 2011 will be a very good year. As always, we will certainly give everyone their money’s worth” MacDonald concluded. For more info please visit http://www.heatwaveinc.com/.

The USACi lanes were full of competitors drawn to the 4X competition.

The stage "out back" saw lots of action too.

The burnout competition is always a crowd pleaser - hear those tires "pop".
