TEMPE, AZ (02.04.11) – Rockford Fosgate, the industry leader in high-performance car audio systems, has launched a new “24/7” campaign that includes sponsorship of the AMA Supercross FIM World Championship series in 2011.  In addition, Factory Honda rider Josh Grant  will be a spokesperson for Rockford Fosgate to help communicate the company’s philosophy of living 24/7 with the throttle wide open.

“Accelerate hard, then shift,” said Bill Jackson, president of Rockford Corporation.  “It’s an attitude we’ve fused into a philosophy and a culture at Rockford Fosgate.  We’re united to defy the limits and exceed all expectations of high performance car audio. The throttle has to be wide open to understand that our passion is what drives us 24/7.  It’s who we are and is reflected in the products we build.”

The new campaign seeks to communicate that attitude through a variety of programs that reflect the same spirit, including the AMA Supercross sponsorship.  The sponsorship will feature grassroots promotional activities with dealers in each market where the 16 races will occur.

“Our research indicates that Supercross fans are as passionate about their music as they are their sport,” noted Jackson.  “Rockford Fosgate and AMA both represent the pinnacle in those areas.  Our support of this exciting, action sport gives Rockford the opportunity to introduce our extreme products to a group of people that will certainly appreciate them.”

As one who also lives with passion 24/7, Director of Marketing Ty Woodhall was excited about the AMA Monster Energy Sponsorship.  He conceptualized the 24/7 campaign after he recently joined the company with a clear vision of what makes Rockford Fosgate unique.

In addition, Rockford Fosgate will sponsor Supercross veteran and X Games Gold Medalist Josh Grant.  Riding a Honda CRF450R for  American Honda, Grant will compete for the series championship.  Wearing the Rockford Fosgate logo on his helmet, he will rocket into his seventh season in the series. “Life is what you make it,” noted Grant.  “And Rockford Fosgate plans to make it one incredible ride.” Grant will also make appearances at high profile events to talk about his two favorite subjects, supercross racing and car audio.
