Las Vegas, NV / Marietta, GA (02.01.11) – HOCO’s Johnny Holland, an industry veteran of dozens of trips to the North Hall at CES events, told 12voltnews.com “At CES 2011 I noticed a definite turn for the better in the attitudes of dealers and distributors on the floor in the North Hall. That positive outlook should result in a good year.”
HOCO represents RE Audio, BOYO Vision, Audiobahn, Digital Audio, Alphasonik, AutoPage, PlasmaGlow and NAXA in the southeast. The company also represents BOYO Vision, Alphasonik, Digital Audio, PlasmaGlow and NEXA in the state of Florida.
The southeast region was hit hard by the snow storm that shut down the Atlanta airport. Industry members returning to the east coast from CES, via Atlanta, were delayed by as many as 2 days.
“The enthusiasm coming out of CES was somewhat dampened in the southeast due to the snowstorm and the havoc it created for over a week in some areas. Hourly workers could not report to work for a number of days and that caused a definite slowdown for many 12volt retailers” Holland added.
HOCO has the Audiobahn brand on its line card and reports that the relaunch of the line is proceeding well. “Product is flowing into distributor’s warehouses and back out the door to retailers. The initial sell through is very encouraging and we are excited to once again see the Audioibahn brand in the marketplace” Holland concluded.
