“The Memphis Marine MM1 controller and source unit is the industry’s first “Black Box” marine audio system” Tom Lay, Memphis Car Audio VP of Sales and Marketing, told 12voltnews.com. The waterproof faceplate controller, that displays 5 lines of text, is designed for flexible installation possibilities with media options for MP3, USB plus iPod and Smartphones. The source unit features a 40 x 4 amplifier, AM/FM tuner, iPod control, AUX-IN, 3 RCA outputs and is Bluetooth ready.

Tower speakers have also been added to the Memphis Marine line for 2011. The horn loaded tweeter tower speakers, available in white and gunmetal grey, feature high power handling 6 1/2″ subs. Weather resistant UV coated housings and aluminum hardware assures Memphis Marine tower speakers will perform year after year – on the water or back woods trails.

Three sizes of subwoofers, 8″, 10″ and 12″, will add the right amount of bass to any installation. Mica injected cones, high temp ABS baskets, gold plated terminals and stainless steel hardware authenticate the quality of Memphis Marine subs.

Two choices of speakers, 6 1/2″ and 6×9’s, complete the Memphis Marine speaker lineup.

A series of three marine grade amplifiers round out the Memphis Marine product offerings. A 4 channel x 80 watt, a 250 watt mono block and a 5 channel (80 x 4 plus 200×1) will provide the flexibility for 12volt retailers to create Memphis Marine systems that will make big waves in 2011. Memphis Marine amps feature variable HI/LO pass filters and variable bass boost.
