South Padre Island, TX – Year after year spectators, car show enthusiasts and soundoff competitors pack the South Padre Island Convention Center and surrounding grounds on laid back South Padre Island for Heat Wave Inc’s
annual Spring Break Jam.

David MacDonald, Heat Wave Prez told 12voltnews.com “When we come to town each year we really liven the place up – and we did it again this year. This show was awesome. Spring Break Jam 2010 was a winner – big time. We had more vehicles in the car show and more spectators than ever. The huge parking lots and areas surrounding the convention center were solid with vehicles. All of our exhibitors told me that we certainly delivered the right crowd for their products. They all are ready to come back in 2011”.

USACi made a major statement by positioning this year’s Spring Break Jam as a 4X competition. The organization’s president Ralph Randall commented “Spring Break Jam South Padre really kicks off the season. David MacDonald puts so much into the event that USACi wanted to help in any way possible. The 4X status was a big win for all. Every year competitors and spectators turn out and are rewarded with a great show”. Randall continued “This year we had more total entries than last in the USACi competition. SPL was way up and SQ was down. Overall a great event”. USACi’s stage was home to bikini contests and the sound rocked the hall.

Sony Mobile returned in a big way this year at Spring Break Jam. Eagle Distributors’ Barry Bellar and Chase Hatch coordinated Sony Mobile’s booth, show vehicle, consumer hand outs and models – in from Austin. Bellar observed “We gave out every catalog and piece of swag we had- hundreds of pieces. It was a great way for Sony Mobile to show their great line up to a big crowd”. Eagle’s Hatch concurred saying “Sony Mobile wanted to make a major statement and they did. Vince Hormovitis, National Sales Manager for Sony Mobile and Rocky Hureta, product specialist, were in the booth and saw first hand how consumers like the new Sony mobile for 2010. Eagle’s Wayne Messina made the trip in from New Orleans for the event”.

M&M Audio, from McAllen, TX was the title sponsor of this year’s event.  M&M Audio’s Mike Iglesias told 12voltnews.com “We recognize the value of putting our company’s name in from of thousands of the right consumers for our products. We have been exhibiting at Spring Break Jam for years and will continue as long as David MacDonald holds the event”.

“Memphis Car Audio has long been a strong supporter of Heat Wave events” John Linn said. “Spring Break Jam is always super for us and this year was certainly no exception. We worked with our dealer Rio Sound from Rio Grande City. Marco and his crew answered so many questions about the new 12″ MoJo sub we had on display in the booth and make contact with so many potential customers. It was a great show for all”.

Kicker and Crossfire/Aces Audio, plus dozens of local vendors, joined Sony and Memphis to fill the exhibit floor inside the South Padre Convention Center.
