Pioneer Electronics Training
Sessions in Oklahoma City, OK @ Petra Industries
As the industry leader in Mobile Electronics, Pioneer Electronics continues to offer training on the latest technologies in the 12v industry. It’s so important these days, as the products are becoming more and more advanced. Pioneer Electronics continues to believe in training its dealer base and this was another example. I recently conducted 2 meetings @ Petra Industries huge facility in Oklahoma City, OK. All Pioneer dealers were invited, this included Distributor, Premier, and even National Accounts (Best Buy). It’s a great location, as they have the necessary equipment, meeting room, and of course the famous Steve’s Ribs for catering.
We focused on the latest products from Pioneer Electronics, the In-Dash Navigation systems that have been recently introduced here in the U.S. within the last 60-90 days. The AVIC Systems are the most advanced in the 12v market. With features such as Bluetooth Built In, iPod controls, Advanced Sound Retriever, and Navigation, the meetings were technology focused. One of the most interesting functions of our new product is the AVIC-Feeds software interface. It’s a free download from Pioneer Electronics and it really enhances the user’s experience with the AVIC Systems. AVIC Feeds also was recently introduced as an App for the iPhone,
So, what is AVIC-Feeds? One of it’s many functions is it offers you the ability to grab POI’s from virtually anywhere on the web (Google Maps, Google Earth, POI Friend, etc) or iPhone and “Feed” them into Pioneer AVIC Navigation systems. It allows for having the freshest data, all the time. Another interesting function that the AVIC Systems offer are “Tracking Systems”. That’s right, going back to last years introduction of the AVIC-F Series and the current models on the market, Pioneer AVIC Systems have tracking systems built in, at No Charge! With the AVIC-Feeds software, you can view the route in Google Maps, see the Mileage, look at Accelerator Diagnostics (Eco Routing) and more. Another interesting function of AVIC-Feeds is the Fuel Reporting system. More and more consumers are looking for ways to save money on gas or to track their fuel consumption and this program is a great tool for doing just that. It’s a very “Green” type of product and Pioneer is really the leader in this area for the 12v industry.
Pioneer also recently introduced the DEH-P7100BT/DEH-P710BT products with some interesting features. Are you aware that this is the worlds first Single CD Player with the ability to iTunes Tag from Radio? That’s right, if you’re jamming down the road listening to an FM Station with the song displayed, you can “Tag” the song for purchase later when you fire up your iTunes application. You can even “Tag” between iPods, and HD Radio. Lastly, we covered the new TSA speakers with the Basalt Fiber technology built in. Basalt Fiber is Volcanic Rock, that’s right I said Volcanic Rock. Why would Pioneer use this material in a speaker? Well, it this material offers all the great qualities you want in a speaker. From Heat Absorption, Strength, & No Coloration this material really benefits the speakers performance.
So, if you attended the meeting in Oklahoma City, I certainly hoped you enjoyed it. If you didn’t, the topics above were some of the many we discussed and I hope you will be able to join us in the near future. Don’t forget, Pioneer Electronics also offers the MEL(Mobile Electronics Live) website for continued training video’s, technical data, forums, and so much more. We will have some new training video’s posted very soon, so please be on the lookout for them. If your not a member of MEL, but you are a Pioneer dealer, then please contact your local sales rep to get signed up. Pioneer Electronics is still very committed to offering World Class meetings and we encourage everyone to attend these meetings in the future.
